ideo.org have launched HCD Connect, which is a great resource for human-centered design methods and connecting with other interested people. They’ve broken down their HCD (hear, create, deliver) method and published snippets of it on the new site. They’ve also released a second edition of their amazing HCD toolkit, which has become my step by step guide to human-centered design methods. Don’t be put off by the length of the toolkit, they’ve made it very easy to read, and you can use bits and pieces of it rather than following every step.
The new site is also a great way to ask other human-centered designers questions, and search globally for initiatives that might profit from your expertise, or give you some practical experience applying HCD methods.
