Participatory Design

One of the aims of Strategic Design is to understand users more than traditional forms of design have strived to. This helps designers to frame a problem and create an appropriate solution. Sometimes Strategic Designers go one step further – Participatory Design. Herbert Simon (1996) described design in a way that is akin to the inclusive aims of Strategic Design.

Everyone designs who devises courses of action aimed at changing existing situations into preferred ones.
